Ingredients to make Beef Stroganoff

2 tb Flour
Salt Pepper
2 lb Top sirloin, cut into thin strips
Butter
1 md Onion, chopped
1/4 lb Small button mushrooms
1 cn Tomato sauce (8 oz)
1 Bay leaf
1 c Sour cream

Directions to make Beef Stroganoff

Step 1:Combine flour and salt and pepper to taste. Add beef strips and toss to coat evenly.
Step 2:Melt 2 tablespoons butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until just beginning to become tender. Add mushrooms and cook briefly. Remove from pan.
Step 3:Add additional 2-3 tablespoons butter as necessary to saute meat. Add floured beef and cook until lightly browned. Combine beef and onion-mushroom mixture in casserole.
Step 4:Stir in tomato sauce and tuck in bay leaf. Cover and bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour, or until meat is tender.
Step 5:Just before serving, stir in sour cream.
