steak on a gas grillGrilling a steak on the grill is a fast and easy way to get a summer supper together - plus it is tasty! But, you may be wondering how to cook a steak on a gas grill without drying it out. Here are a few basic tips to help:

  • Start with a one inch steak; they are easiest to grill
  • Marinade your steak for a few hours before cooking
  • Preheat your grill to your desired temperature
  • Be sure to sear your steak for one minute on each side
  • Cook the first side until you see red spots appearing; then flip
  • Cook for another 5 minutes or so for a total cooking time of 10-15 minutes
  • Remove steak from grill and let sit for five minutes before serving - this helps the juices to settle in the meat for a juicer meal.

Now that you know how to cook a steak on a gas grill, the only thing left to do is hit the butcher shop for some great cuts of meat.
